The only way to transport your bike that we are going to suggest is to fly with it. The Big Island of Hawaii is just that, an island, and we do not feel comfortable telling anyone to ship their bike. Flying with your bike can also be problematic from time to time but we still feel that the best way to get your bike too and from our race is to fly with it in a soft or hard case. Check with whatever airline you book your flight with to see what their options and costs are for bike transport. You can buy a bike case or rent one from most local bike or tri shops. If you are not well versed in taking your bike apart and packing it in a bike box for flight we recommend taking it to a bike shop and having them do it to make sure you have the best chance of your bike not being damaged and making it to The Big Island on time.

We will be announcing a local bike shop sponsorship in the coming months so that whether or not you do choose to ship, or fly, you have a recommended shop to get your bike serviced while on the Big Island of Hawaii.
